Facilities

The Manor Bottom Granary consists of two adjoining buildings: an old calf shed (clad in charred timber) and an elevated old granary building (built with solid stone and with a slate roof). The entrance is through four steps into the granary building.

Lounge

As you enter through the front door into a hallway, the lounge opens out ahead of you, the huge windows giving views over the patio, swimming pool and the garden.

There are comfortable armchairs and a sofa set around a wood burning stove.

On request, we will provide you with a collection of books and records for your stay. There is a record player and a Bluetooth speaker provided. The Wi-Fi connection allows streaming from any devices you choose to bring with you (using your personal TV licence and other subscription packages) and this can be connected to the projector for large scale viewing.

Wetroom

There is a wetroom shower room in the hallway by the lounge, designed in monochrome with copper accents.

Kitchen

From the hallway, you descend down the wide steps into a large kitchen, with plenty of light and space.

The modern-designed kitchen is well equipped with A-rated appliances and a range of utensils and stylish homeware. You can do as much (or as little!) cooking as you like, using the sleek induction hob, fan and microwave oven. There is plenty of space in the fridge, freezer and cupboards for your personal supplies.

The table sits up to 6 people.

There is a washer-dryer in the kitchen, with washing powder provided.

The French door opens out into the courtyard, with a small coffee table just outside, under the glass veranda, for enjoying and al fresco morning coffee even on rainy days.

The internal kitchen door leads into a short and bright corridor linking separating bedrooms and the rest of the accommodation. This hallway features another wide window seat, great for reading or just gazing out into the courtyard and the garden.

Bedrooms

The Granary comfortably sleeps 4 adults in two double bedrooms.

One of the bedrooms can be easily set up either as a double bed (super king size!) or as two standard twin beds.

A travel cot for babies are also available on request.

Master Bedroom

The en-suite master bedroom is stylish, and bright. From the window you can see the horses rolling in the field opposite. The super-king bed is extremely comfortable, and the en-suite (with a large shower) has everything you need to extent your leisurely morning.

Second Bedroom

The warm and bright second bedroom can accommodate a couple or two singles. The bed, built by our carpenter friend, joins seamlessly (with a help from a zip and link mattress) into one king-size or splits into two singles.

Garden and Pool Courtyard

The paved courtyard by the swimming pool is accessed through the kitchen, en-suite bathroom and the terrace steps from the lounge. It offers complete privacy and is sheltered from the wind.

Guests can also take the steps up to the sloping garden, which catches the last of the evening sun and has views over the valley. The garden features a charming brick-built old pump house. The garden and the courtyard have loungers and various tables for outside dining. There are also a several benches.

Guests are welcome to look into the ice house and pump house but please be careful at all times. Please do not climb into or on top of the ice house.

Supervision of children by an adult around the pool is required at all times. There should be no running around the pool area. The pool is 10m in length and the depth is 2m at the deep end.
